Hello all,

I am doing some research into social location based disclosure services,
and would like to find out more about AT&T Find Friend service and any other
similar services. I understand ATT FF is dated now and I'm not sure its
even still going, but if people can recall any impressions or experiences of
them, like privacy and user interface friendliness I would be interested.
As well as any general views I would be interested in finding out the
following about AT&T Find Friends, namely:

1) Can you make yourself invisible to individual buddies or is this a global
function for all buddies, or are both options available?

2) When a request is made by someone to add themselves to your buddy list is
there information eg phone no/name authenicated in any way? (for instance to
avoid somebody buying a phone and using a false name to deceive you into
adding them to your buddy list).

3) When selecting "Meet friend" and "Set up meeting" and selecting a friend
from address book to meet, if visible, their location is displayed and you
can select various POI (point of interest) to meet near you, them, or
between us, and then get direction to the POI selected, what dialogues does
the the other party get? and what prompts do they get other than an SMS
saying they've been located? eg can I reject meeting?

I assume the "view meetings" may be used for the above?

If you don't feel you can answer all the questions above then do as much as
you can.

Also, if you could guide me to any resources on the above, It would be
helpful.

Thank you very much for your time.

Hugh
