For personal reasons I want to keep some messages on my Verizon cell. However,
it will only save them for 21 days ... so I keep "renewing" them.
However, we are planning a 9 day vacation to Barbados and I was told I won't
be able to use my cellphone there (so I can't renew the messages).
How can I keep these from being deleted? If I turn my phone off, will it sort
of "freeze" all activity; and then start again when I turn the power back on
when I return. Any ideas?
thanks

Re: Keeping messages on Verizon cellphone
You can also record your messages to a tape recorder or computer.
With a simple cable from radio shack I was able to record my cell phone
messages to the MIC-IN port of my laptop. This way I can save the resulting
WAV comptuer file for as long as I want. Even make copies & backups of it.
You do NOT need the more expensie "phone recording" kit at Radio Shack. That
kit would be useful if you were recording conversations or messages all the
time. But for just an occasional message you just need a cord that will plug
into the "headset" jack on your phone and go to the "microphone input" jack
on your comptuer.
I bough a little digital
