I am using a US Cellular phone in the Waterville Maine area. The reception is
good most places except within a mile of my house in Smithfield. I have begun
researching cell plans. Verizon, T Mobil, Unicel, and Cingulair are all here
but use each others towers etc.

Are there any Mainers out there in my area who have success with a certain
carrier? I have been to Dave Markson's site but I don't see really useful
    advice for my situation.

The phone I am using now is an LG VX4400. I certainly would need a phone with
    analog capability.

Re: Cell Reception in Smithfield Maine

I just got done signing a contract with Verizon ( that is the only way I
could get a phone to try). The service is no better.

An old Unicel phone gets great reception here but not where I work in a more
    populated area.

Any other feedback from Mainers out there appreciated
