Interesting....thanks.
I tried to get my local Yamaha jetski dealer to fix my brand new Yamaha
GP1200 $8,400 jetski back in 1997. He didn't think he owed me a working
jetski. He did.
One night I faxed him the FTC booklet, "The Businessperson's Guide To
Federal Warranty Law":
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/...s/warranty.htm
to inform him of his responsibilities under this FEDERAL LAW statute he
didn't seem to want to know anything about. Every consumer needs to read
this guide, too. Most interesting. It's why WalMart doesn't balk at
taking back the pants the zipper fell off of or the toaster that won't
toast.
After faxing him the information, I wasn't welcome in the dealership any
more. It mattered not. I invoked the act and refused to pay for the
defective product Yamaha didn't want to fix, either. I never paid them a
dime....(c; I paid my attorney.
