I'm on Alltel with E815 and two cheap Moto BT headsets a Verizon friend
of mine just handed me. His Verizon E815 did what yours does. They BOTH
work great on my Alltel E815, leading me to infer that the problem is
more with Verizon's hobbleware, the usual Verizon game of deleting
standard features, than it is with the E815, itself.

These headsets sucked awful on his Verizon E815. Works great on mine
under Alltel's firmware, unhobbled. You be the judge.

I'd also like to put in a monkey wrench that happened to another friend.
His BT headsets went CRAZY and he could never get them to work. He asked
me to look at them. He had them BOTH paired to BOTH his phone and his
wife's phone! So, any time he was WITH his wife, and her phone, the poor
headsets were trying to pair with BOTH OF THEM! Radio systems don't like
to share stations, even now! I reset both headsets to start over.
Paired one to HIS PHONE ONLY and the other to HER PHONE ONLY. Problem
went away....permanently. They both work great...er, ah, unless some
idiot picks up the WRONG ONE...his><hers.....hers<>his...(c; Then,
nothing pairs, of course. Check to make SURE yours is ONLY paired with
    ONE PHONE!

    Re: Bluetooth and Motorola E815

I was also very 'unpleased' when I found out how much of the features
on the E815 were locked out by Verizon. I went on a quest to find a
data cable that would work to give me some of the capabilities that
most cell phone users enjoy. In my search I came across a
cable/software combination that allowed everything on a E815, but only
if you were on Canada's Bell system.

Unfortunately I need to have the phone working for business calls when
I am at home and the only (mediocre at best) coverage I can get at
home is with Verizon. The E815 does seem to get a better signal and
less dropouts at home than previous Verizon phones. does anyone know
of a Verizon phone that gets the good coverage I need, does not lose
connection with Bluetooth, and if possible does not have all it's
features locked out so you have to purchase them piecemeal from
    Verizon?
