Wanting to play around with BlueTooth, I went from the latest in
my series of Nokia candy bar phones to a Moto Razr.

I suspect that number signal strength bars is not comparable from
phone-to-phone (although the Razr consistently shows fewer...).

But in marginal areas where I usually could get a bar or two on
the Nokies - and get a call through - with the Razr in these same
areas it's pretty much "No Way Jose'". Bars aside, I just can't
    make calls.

Does this sound reasonable? Can something like the Razr -
seemingly among the "latest-and-greatest" from a major
manufacturer - really have consistently inferior signal
acquisition abilities to a several-years-old Nokia?

Or is it more likely some coincidence over the last few weeks and
tMob's signals in general have been weaker?

    Re: Razr 3.something: Signal Strength?

Nokia generally have the most sensitive transceivers whereas Motorola and LG
much poorer. If you want to use a mobile phone to actually make and receive
    calls, get a Nokia.
