Ampd Prepaid Products are delayed. They also had a delayed and limited initial product offering (one phone).

They are using Verizon as their back bone provider. While Verizon is arguably one of the best providers for plan subscribers, they don't have one major MVNO.

Compare this to Sprint who have Virgin Mobile, STI mobile, and dozens of smaller MVNOs.

I am wondering* what the problem is with the Verizon MVNO department. I am curious to see if Ampd can make it happen using Verizon.

I do have a theory as to the problem. I think Verizon doesn't want or need MVNOs.

    Re: Ampd Mobile is comming...

Oh my gawd, you people are so clueless....but I am here to help...

Ampd is excellent. I was an indirect agent and learned about the phones and they are basically, better verizon phones when it comes down the the amount of content available and the fact that they run on verizons huge network.

The site looks great to me though, although they should put more info out in the open to avoid the numerous reposts of these basic questions.

I just switched to ampd from verizon to save money and because with my chocolate phone i was getting 1 bar where the ampd phones got 3...the chocolate is not good for reception and is always going between 1-3 bars if any at my house, its quite odd. Works everywhere else I have been though.

anyway, ampd is new, excellent cheaper verizon service with much more to offer. They have been expanding huge amounts. They intend to have 10x more locations within the next 2 years! and have been selling quite well in all stores, much better than compaired to other newly started phone services such as disney, and helio.

    Hope this helped you all!
