iphone tettethering is going to be an additional charge???

i heard tethering will be an additional charge along with the 30 dollar data plan that is required with the iphone? is this true? how much extra is it going to cost?

If I'm not mistaken, with the new or upcoming iPhone 3GS the data plan is supposed to drop to $20. I have also heard that it's supposed to include unlimited messaging (SMS and MMS), which the current $30 plan does not. I'm not sure what tethering will cost. They (AT&T) are still hammering out the pricing. You guess is as good as anyone's.

if it drops to $20 and includes unlimited messaging that be great. i hate paying for those 2 things separately. 30+15(1500 texts) is crazy. so tethering will be optional for the customer and not required like the data plan?
