iphone retrieve sent text

I sent a text to someone on a cruise that I regret. Since they are on a cruise I know they may not have received it. I want to retrieve the sent text. Is there any way possible to retrieve it??

Messages once sent cannot be recalled. If the message is undeliverable it might be deleted from the carrier's server . The length of storage time varies by carrier. If the person reads it you could say that it was sent by mistake.
