Yes...but needs to be "unlocked" or "jail broken". Suggest buying one already done on eBay. Just pop your T-Mobile sim card in and your done!

An unlocked/jailbroken iPhone will work on T-Mobile's network, but the frequencies for 3G are different, so you can only connect over the EDGE network. To configure, Turn off 3G, turn on Data roaming and in the cellular data network section set the APN's to epc.T-Mobile.com and set the MMSC to http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc. You'll then be able to browse the internet and send receive MMS picture messages. For MMS messaging you also need to turn on MMS messaging and power cycle the phone.

I have a iphone 4 unlocked. Best thing to do is go on ebay to get it. Thats how I purchased mine. It Might coast a little more but all in all you get what you pay for at the end of the day.
