Info: Bluetooth 4.O

Hello!

I am in the market for a new phone and have been perplexed by the choices. I have never owned anything Mac and was considering the iPhone 4S when I began going over my research and specs.

After reading article after article about the new iPhone, it was mentioned that it uses Bluetooth 4.0 and I believe it was stated that this latest Bluetooth is NOT backwards compatible. If that is the case, I am assuming that not only will it NOT work with my current earpiece, but more importantly it may not work with my CAR (2009 Toyota with built-in Bluetooth); that would be a very important issue for me.

I am looking for a new phone--I wasn't looking for a new car.

I wonder how many people know about this and/or who have been affected by the latest Bluetooth version, 4.0.
