Device Lock Management

Enabling / Disabling Device Lock:

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Settings"
  2. Tap "General" > "Passcode Lock"
  3. If prompted, type in the current passcode
  4. Tap "Turn Passcode On" or "Turn Passcode Off" to enable or disable device lock
  5. Type in the current password, or setup a new one

Changing the Device Lock Password / PIN:

  1. Tap the "Settings" icon located on the home screen
  2. Tap "General" > "Passcode Lock"
  3. Type in the current passcode and tap "Change Passcode"
  4. Enter the current passcode, then enter the new passcode and tap "Next"
  5. Re-enter the new passcode and tap "Done" to confirm

SIM PIN Management

Enabling / Disabling the SIM PIN:

  1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Settings"
  2. Tap "Phone" > "SIM PIN"
  3. Press the slider associated with "SIM PIN" to enable or disable this feature

Changing the SIM PIN:

  1. Tap "Settings" while on the home screen
  2. Tap "Phone" > "SIM PIN"
  3. If necessary, drag the "SIM PIN" slider in the "ON" position
  4. Tap "Change PIN"
  5. Type in the current PIN
  6. Enter the new PIN, and then re-enter it for confirmation
  7. Tap "Save"

PUK Code Management

In case you have entered the SIM PIN code incorrectly for several times in a row, then the smartphone will block you from attempting again, until you provide a PUK code.

Related Errors:

  • PIN code blocked. Enter PUK code:
  • Enter PUK code
  • SIM card locked. Emergency calls only. Please contact Customer Care

To unblock your SIM and set a new PIN code:

  1. Contact your carrier's customer support and request for your PUK code
  2. Once prompted on the "Dialer" screen, type in the PUK code
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create and set a new PIN code
