hey I'm looking for a way to get free ringtones on ATT. I went to phonezoo.com and got the ringone sent to me but than they wanted me to go online and dowload it and since I don't have a dataplan, I figured that, that would probably cost me more than if i actually bought the ringtone from ATT, anyone know a way around this?

yep, buy yourself a data cable and get yourself audacity so you can make your own ringtones and upload them to your phone via your computer.

here's one of the many tutorials online:

Try 3guppies.com. That is what I use and so far it has been fantastic!
You take a song from your own music collection and upload it to a "locker" in your account. Then you choose your favorite 30 second clip like the hook or the verse, whatever. Then you click send and it sends it to your phone. You will have to access the internet on your phone but only for like 10secs so you will only be charged a small amount of money.

You will only be charged a small amount of money? Come again? You give away your MP3 to some unknown website, and they only charge you a small amount of money for the priviledge of cutting out 30 seconds of it to use as a ring tone?

    You're kidding - right?

As XJ said, cut out that 30 seconds yourself for free with Audacity. There's a step by step guide at the link in my signiture.
