My carrier is currently ATT and I am a line in a family plan. The question is: can I extend my line (my line ONLY, not including the other lines in the family plan) through a 2 year contract extension deal that includes a heavily discounted phone? Does ATT even offer these deals?

Also, by extending my line does it mean I have to choose a new rate plan? I would very much like to keep the one I currently have but just extend it by 2 years through one of these deals.

    Thank you so much!

Mobile Banking on AT&T lets users securely and efficiently manage their finances, including checking balances and transaction history, transferring funds, receiving offers, viewing and paying bills, and tracking rewards points.

Re: A question regarding contract extension deals...

Each line on a family plan has its own individual contract. So yes, you can upgrade YOUR line and only extend YOUR contract and when the time comes that the others are up they can cancel if they wish and you can get your own plan, no penalty or anything.

Edit-I just read the part about changing your rate plan. It depends on which one you're on. Some of the rate plans are really old and considered "grandfathered" and they might make you change it in that case. But sometimes getting a great deal on an awesome new phone is worth it. What rate plan are you on?
