    Hi,
I've searched and haven't really found tips on this, so I'd really appreciate your advice.
I've been using a Palm Pilot for years and love having my calendar, contacts, to do list, etc. electronic and handy. I also love being able to sync it with my MAC (ical and Address book). But the Palm is about to die, I think.
Meanwhile, it's time for an upgrade on the cell phone. I have AT & T and am happy to stay with it. Although the iPhone is the obvious choice, I can't justify $360/year for the required data plan, since I don't "need" it.
What are your recommendations for a phone/calendar/address book/to do list (i.e. smart phone, no?) for AT&T that doesn't REQUIRE the data plan?
    Thanks so much!!!
    P.S. I'm thinking Blackberry 8310???

If you are comfortable with the Palm interface, I recommend a Palm Centro for you.

Thanks for the advice. Only thing is that I've heard lots of bad things about Palm phones as phones. And that's the main use.

The unique thing about the Centro is that it can go into standby mode, but does not turn completely off. I never heard of such a phone that does that.
