***I searched the forums for a question similar to this, but I couldn't find one that addressed my problem***
I work with a bunch of people who have iPhones, and I also need a new phone. However, I would like to avoid getting an iPhone, mainly for cost's sake and somewhat that I don't want to look like I got the iPhone just because they got one.
So, I was wondering if there were any phones with similar capabilities to the iPhone, that work with AT&T, but are possibly cheaper at first purchase and data-plan wise.
Thanks!

Actually...I just purchased the HTC Fuse, and it gives you all the functionality of an IPhone. Plus can you say flexibility when using Windows Mobile. MUST BUY. But then again, the price tag is enormous...but definitely more cool than the Iphone

Re: Other than the iPhone?
New iPhone release date is June 19th. Hopefully the price of the phone and the rate plan will go down.... I don't think you can get anything cooler than the iPhone.

Re: Other than the iPhone?
there are a lot of phones like the iphone that will work on the att gsm 850 band. Most of them you will have to buy unlocked. I am not a big fan of the iphone myself but in your case if your looking for price and can do an upgrade discount the iphone is probably your best bet for the price. If you really want something different then the iphone and you don't really care about price or might look at spending a little more money to be different then look at unlocked phones. just make sure that they will work on the att gsm network before you buy it.

Re: Other than the iPhone?
Hmm, I have the Samsung Eternity. A great touchscreen phone that's smaller and lighter than the iphone. Also, it doesn't require that you buy the data plan to go with it. However, it isn't as flexible as the iphone. Many of the special services require that you pay money for them. Though, I went with the data plan (cheaper than the iphone's data plan), and it can do most of the pay-for services without making you pay, like TV (through youtube and hulu), and GPS (google maps won't speak to you, but it'll get you there).
