I recently left AT&T Wireless and like with other carriers, they made me pay for my last month of service in advanced. But unlike other carriers; they didn't make any kind of pro-rated refund for the service I didn't use. One of the reps claimed they would send me a refund check, but another rep said that AT&T ((NEVER)) makes that type of refund. So I wanted to know how many people here have actually gotten a pro-rated refund from AT&T for the last month of service that they didn't use? It has to be against the law to force a customer to pay for their last month of service in advance, but then not refund any of it when that customers doesn't even use most of the month. I wonder how many people using any carriers service have actually looked into the fact that they should get a pro-rated refund for their last month of service.

If you look at your Terms of Service, it states
from wireless service agreement
Except as provided below, monthly service and certain other charges are billed one month in advance, and there is no proration of such charges if service is terminated on other than the last day of your billing cycle.
