Re: getting my phone to work
I am not certain that you can unlock a Virgin Wireless phone, but if it is possible, then you should have no problems what so ever. According to my research, they are both GSM, both use the same technology, so as long as Virgin phones are unlockable, you should be able to utilize it. I would call Virgin Canada and see if they will provide you with an unlock code, or take it to a Cell Phone store and see if they can unlock it.

Re: LG Rumor (from Virgin) on AT&T Prepaid
Virgin Mobile Canada uses CDMA phones. They will not work on a GSM network. They are not even acceptable on the Virgin Mobile network in the United States, which also uses CDMA.

Can I use my GSM phone to get Virgin Mobile's service? On Prepaid and myPlanTM:
Sorry, but you can only use CDMA-based Virgin Mobile Canada phones on the network. Your GSM phone and SIM card are not compatible with CDMA technology.
