My girlfriend recently lost her phone that had insurance on it, we claimed it and the new phone arrived today. Well earlier today a friend actually found the lost phone in the trunk of her car and called us to tell us she had found it.
Now I have a crappy cell phone and the same service and plan as my girlfriend and want the new phone that came in (she doesn't want the new phone) so what can we do so she can use her old phone and I can use the new one without causing any problems or loosing insurance?
Thank you for you help in advance..

Re: What do I do with these phones?
If you keep the phone, you are breaking the law. It is fraud. The phone belongs to the insurance company. If you don't like it, don't get the insurance. The insurance company is NOT AT&T. It is an insurance company that covers lost, stolen and broken phones.
By not returning the phone you are committing a crime and can be arrested if found out.

GSM phones in the United States are not placed on a black list as they are in some European, South American and African countries. About forty carriers participate in the program. Handset Theft ~ GSM World
