I've got an iPhone 3gs with the the latest (4 something) OS.
Tonight I've received 4 text spam messages from two different phone numbers. Each number has sent two texts but when I go into Messages, there's only one text for each number. The message is:
Still need some quick cash? Get up to $1500 wired into your bank today! just fill out an easy 3 minut form at MegaFastLoans.com. (reply STOP to cancel).

You can reply to the text with the word STOP to cancel.

Re: I'm Being Spammed
Isn't that just as bad as clicking on a link in a spam email to unsubscribe? All that does is tell the spammer they've got a valid email address. If I reply with stop, I tell them they've got a valid phone number.
I haven't received anymore since that day. I suspect these spammers are just sending out texts to a series of phone numbers, and wait for the hook to be set by a reply.johnny
