    How is this free when you have to pay for data access? You also have to pay for a voice plan to get data. So the lowest cost per month is $55 for the lowest priced voice plan plus the lowest priced data plan. That is a long way from free. In addition, the application costs $9.46.

    If you have to pay for something, the price is not free. So if you purchase a cruise ship, you can stay in the captain's quarters for free.

    The other person has to have an Android phone plus pay the app cost. Encrypting wireless conversations is a waste of effort since there is nothing to stop an individual from hearing one side of a conversation from the source. Unfortunately with push-to-talk, one is forced to hear both sides of the conversation.

    U have some free application in your smartphone?
    U have some open source application in your pc?
    the answer is always none!! Beacuse u paid for your smartphone..u paid for your pc.. all in your life have a cost ..
    with skype u can talk for free ..but u have to pay a connection..is the same with cryptMyCall the difference between is that u can encrypt your call and in your bill there are no trace of the conversation...

    Re: CryptMyCall a new secure voip app

    Simply leave the free out of your title. You are promising something the application cannot deliver. The weak points in wireless calls are the end points. The air interface is already encrypted. We are not talking about analog phones. Even modern cordless phones encrypt traffic between the handset and the base station.

    As previously stated, the weak points in all wireless conversations are the original and destination handsets. It does not matter if the call is encrypted en route if no efforts are made to prevent someone from hearing the original dialog out of the mouths of the conversants. If both participants are on a Wi-Fi connection there is no direct costs for the call. That is usually not the case in mobile calls. When using cellular data, there is a finite cost for every byte transferred. It could be a deduction from a limited data plan or pay-per-use of either $0.01 per kilobyte or $2.00 per megabyte. If you have a 900 minute voice plan, each minute of Anytime calls cost about $0.07 each. A minute on the $2.00 per megabyte rate would cost $2.00 and would cost about $6.00 on the $0.01 per kilobyte rate. It would use about 600 kilobytes of your data plan, which might not be unlimited.

    It's about $10.15 on the Android Market;
    "have you tried it" flooded fourms last month; not many takers or reviews.

    It seemed that many of the reviews each mis***** the same word and all have the same description by various forum members who all joined in April. I suspect ringers. Why would a member go out of his way to defend a product in which he had no stake? It seems that our "misslessi" is the source of the new word "tryed."
