News: HTC Status Facebook phone now available at AT&T for $49.99

Now available at AT&T, the HTC Status, aka, HTC ChaCha, is an Android-powered smartphone that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread that has a dedicated Facebook button that allows users to connect to the social network with one push of a button.

For all you Facebook fans out there, the HTC Status from AT&T will come with a full QWERTY keyboard and is geared to those who are Facebook fanatics as well as avid texters.

Features of the HTC Status include: a 2.6-inch 480×320 capacitive touchscreen, an 800 MHz processor, a 5 MP autofocus camera with LED flash, 512 MB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM, microSD card support, HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 1250 mAh battery.

You can sign a new 2 year contract with AT&T and pick up the phone for only $49.99, which will also require you to take out at least a $15 per month plan.
