Use the brew on your phone to download applications such as ringtones wallpapers, games and others. If you don't want to pay simply look for websites that give you free stuff and download it to your computer. Then using the USB cable you can transfer them to your phone. The plug in on the phone is on the bottom covered by a rubber cap.
If you use the Brew you don't need the USB cable.

BREW doesnt require internet access. But they might charge you for airtime usage.
Free ringtones and wallpapers:
http://mobile17.smashsworld.com/ (you can create your own ringtones and wallpapers)
http://www.ringtones4all.com/ (never tried it before)
www.762wireless.com (never tried it before)

no more than 30 seconds to connect and open the catalog

Maybe they don't sell any applications or ur phone is not able to establish a connection
