i was wondering does your phone play that melody everytime you turn it on? because mine does probally 1/20 it does. ahh i get so friggin pissed i want to throw it.
and when you take a picture and save it as the background/screen saver does it have like a thin black bar on the bottom? and a thin white bar running ontop?
god this is such a cheap phone and i just bought it like 3 months ago! i want to complain to them so bad.
and when i turn it off its suppose to play that song right? but when you shut the flap the song gets cut off

Lisa that's just the way your Audiovox works...
you don't specify what model and what service provider you're using..
take your phone to where you bought it hopefully a Verizon Corporate store be nice about explaining your problem and they usually work with you to get you a different handset of comparable value.

Most major service providers at their discretion exchange a phone for you like i previously mentioned, try talking to the store manager explaning your situation and maybe they'll let you exchange it for a different model...good luck.

^ no, i copied and pasted my situation, i forgot to add audiovox 8910, bell because the other forum had a topic for audiovox 8910 users, so i forgot to add it to this one.
so they can actually allow you to exchange models? you dont have to send it to the manufacturer ?

Like i mentioned previously, this would be at the store manager's discretion, they don't have to do it, but if you're nice about explaining your situation they might exchange it for you, worth a try if you're really unhappy with your phone...
BTW, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your phone, handsets always have an on/off sound, on some models you can opt to turn it off, have you tried to do so?Last edited by Tony E!; 08-19-2005 at 09:26 PM.

^yes, mine does have the option to turn off and on, i left mine on. but it seems never to work. it works fine when im turning off the phone it plays. but when i turn it on, nothing, probally 1/40 times it would work... and when i want to take a picture, and i want to save it as the screen saver, theres these two lines running across the top and bottom, it gets really annoying since the background images that are given already dont have them,
hmmm i'll go back and ask about this to them and see what happens i guess..
