I've followed some other threads about using the BitPim software to change settings and transfer stuff to and from an Audiovox phone. This seems to work on newer models. But can anyone confirm whether it will work on an 8500 model?

I'm getting my USB cable in the mail in a few says and I want to know if this is even possible/safe for my 8500.
