and i've already done 24 months and i did not get a hardware upgrade! you have to sign up for another 2 years to get only 150 towards one of their phones.

and the contract i signed was so ****ty and sloppy. i see that they have more detailed contracts now, prolly cause i *****ed them out before for misleading me the first, second, third, forth, and fifth time around.

you're finally on point with something; i don't like canadian phone providers. they're ****.

i know many people who work for bell, a bunch here in van, one dude in montreal and one dude in toronto. all of them tell me the same ****. bell is ****ty, go somewhere else. that's my advice to anyone getting a phone.

i wouldn't ming paying more for a better phone or better service. i'm payin more for ****ty phones and ****ty service. it's crazy.
Yes. Bell's network is CDMA. As is Telus. Fido and Rogers are GSM, which means that yes, you can buy an unlocked phone and put your SIM card in it. I would recommend learning about the different technologies before assuimg it's just because it's Bell that you can't get an unlocked phone. Oh, and CDMA has much more coverage than GSM, in Canada anyways.

Ummmm, yes, that's the point. You re-sign on again to get a discount on the phones. Did you think that after your 2 years was up they'd just hand off another discounted phone without you signing up again? And just so you know, all cell phone companies operate this way for hardware upgrades. You have to re-sign again.

Canadian cell phone providers, and I'm commenting on them all, are actually very competitive. In Europe, you pay twice as much, and still have no bundled minutes. Sure, the United States has cheaper plans. But also remember that they have a 300 million population that they can provide to. Canada has under 30 million.

Curious, if you did indeed like Bell Mobility, would you still admit that all the "people you know" hate Bell ? Seems like you only use this to further support your claim that Bell is no good. However, I will say it is possible. Afterall, does every who works at Ford like Ford ? Does everyone who works at Wal-Mart like Wal-Mart ?

Then might I suggest trying another provider ? But then again, you said all cell phone providers in Canada are ****ty, so I suppose you're stuck with our lame Canadian wireless eh ?

uh, yeah i did re-sign (because that was the easiest thing to do at the time) and i DID NOT get a hardware upgrade. like i said before you have to go on a two year agreement to get only $150. i went on a one year agreement (basically to find a better agreement this year) and i didn't get anything for being with bell for two years. and you're wrong, not all cell phone providers operate this way. other cell phone providers (like fido) don't do that, you can use your credit to get another phone while you are still in your original two years.

and just getting back to facts, canada is over 30 million.

i don't get your point? obviously i'm using the fact that most bell workers say not to get invovled with bell. why bring up ford or wal-mart? that has nothing to do with this. the fact of the matter is people all over canada (vancouver, montreal, and toronto) who work for bell don't support that company's way of business. even when i go to bell stores in the mall here in richmond, the people who i don't know heed my purchases.

the worst thing that can happen to you in business is having an angry customer who knows a lot of people. anyone in business knows this, it's just that bell wants to ignore this.

the way YOU (a bell employee) respond to ME (a bell customer) shows everyone exactly why bell is so bad. instead of helping a normally nice customer, you turn him into an angry customer by telling him how you guys are so great and my problems are my fault. how is that customer service??? tell me??? you just keep saying offtopic things like "but we have a fast netowrk, you're misinformed, we're smart, you're stupid, blah blah blah."

Yes, you must sign a 2 year in order to get a hardware upgrade. Again, you should have understood what you were getting into before signing up the first time.

Alrighty, I stand corrected, a bit over 30 million.

Using your theory then, if a bunch of Ford employees said not to buy a Ford, or a bunch of Wal-Mart emplyees said not to shop at Wal-Mart, does that stop anyone from doing so ? There's even an anti-Wal-Mart DVD out there ! And guess what, more people shop at Wal-Mart than ever before. Using the idea that some employees don't like the company they work for, does not mean the company is bad.

Actually, you asked a question, I answered it, you responded, I responded, then you responded with a 4 word post. "**** i hate bell" I was trying to be helpful and answer your questions and give you a hand. What thanks did I get ? **** the company you work for ?

I have never said "we're smart, you're stupid". And I was explaining why prices for picture messaging are the way they are, because Bell chooses to move ahead in the wireless industry, and it requires money to do so. And yes, perhaps you were misinformed about the hardware upgrade policies, again, I'm not attacking you, I'm simply saying that you seem to not understand how it works.

And like you said, all Canadian cell phone providers suck.
