I think $29 is the lowest cap plan available.
3 has a $10 talk&text plan for Orange CDMA upgrade, with 50 no free SMS
and 100 free calls within 3 customers.

My bills were around the $35-$40 mark with optus... I have now chosen to
go prepaid with iSim... I spend $9-$15/ Month for the same talk time.
No flagfalls kick arse! Caps can catch low users out.

I'm looking at iSim's website now, and its call rates. I wonder how it
can do it - use Telstra's CDMA network and charge less than half the
call rate charges. Currently I pay 50 cents/30 secs call rates. iSim's
    rates are 39 cents/min, or roughly 20 cents/30 secs.

Thanks for the tip re iSim. I'll give it due consideration.

Just checked out iSim. It doesn't do CDMA, only GSM...

If you are looking for CDMA, you have no option but stick with Telstra
because 3 (Orange) will no longer accept new CDMA customer.

Wrong, both Optarse and Southern Cross Mobile
resell telstra CDMA at much better prices with SCM.
