    Very true.
    IMEI unlocking software available on the internet that's generally *FREE*
    can be quite deceiving.
    My Nokia 3120 wouldn't let me unlock it via the *FREE* software, as you only
    get three attempts (similar to PIN CODE and then enter PUK code, except in
    this case, you will then need a cable solution, that is take your phone to a
    Nokia dealer who can professionally unlock the handset via a Nokia dealer
    cable / software solution). Anyway, the *FREE* software generated about 10
    combinations, i tried the first, no luck, the second, I got worried, and
    finally, the third, which locked my "unlocking via handset" capabilities.
    Long story short, had a $20 "cable" solution )

    5 minutes googling would have told you that it spits out 7 codes. Try code 7
    first. Followed by code 1 if 7 fails.
