Telstra doesn't use Indian Call Centres.
Telstra for a long time have outsourced large chunks of their IT work to
IBM.
IBM choose to conduct some of that in India

So why do Pakis ring me from Telstra then. And why do I get Pakis if I
ring Telsta.

Why do you keep trotting this BLATANT untruth out there? Telstra has a CEO
who USED to live in the US. It's all part of getting the best people in the
WORLD to run a WORLD-CLASS company.
It's really not that a complex situation.

They outsource all their Bigpond tech support to an American
company called Teletech International. I worked for them,
idiots think they can treat Aussies like their underpaid
workers in the US. It says a lot about a place of work when
even the Team Leaders hate their job and working for a Yank
company. Their call centres have one of the highest
turnovers of staff in Australia. If you're looking for call
centre experience they're so-so, but only plan on being
there until you can get a better job.
They really do SUCK that much to work for.

It's obviously far to complex for you , trio is a proven failure as a
manger and should be ejected post haste from Australia with nothing but
a kick in his head.

So you got the sack, then? Was the pressure a little too much to bear?
Were you FORCED to work for them? I can see why you are making anti-Telstra
/ unaustralian comments - you are a disgruntled worker, Teletech made an
example of you, just like your last 6 employers..
I know someone who works for Teletech - they LOVE their job.

Wasn't sacked - resigned, like everyone else who leaves there.
None of my comments were "un-Australian", nor were they
anti-Tel$tra. If you can actually comprehend what you read,
I never mentioned Tel$tra by name, same as I never made any
un-Australian comments. All my comments were about Teletech.
I've only been sacked from one job my whole life, more
obviously than you can claim. Do you actually know me or,
know of my work history? If not, keep your aspersions to
yourself.
You wouldn't be the Professor James Bell, the medical
physician would you? If not, you're just another Tel$tra
stooge whose pathetic little ego requires him to put
"Professor" in front of his name to make you feel better
about your wasted life.
You know someone who actually "loves" working for Teletech?
What a happy, mindless, little corporate drone they must be
then.

I'm still waiting, where do I send my children for apprenticship training,
which will support them so they can, in turn, support Australia?

The calls I got were from Indian call centres. They definitely use them
for telemarketing if not for anything else.

I hated those spam calls so much that I now pay for my copper wire via
Transact just so I have nothing to do with Telstra.
PS. anyone else think Michael = Bell?

A while back they had an offer of a free cordless phone if you switched
to them, plus a $50 credit on your account per month for three months (I
think it was). Much as I hate Telstra, I thought it was an offer too
good to refuse, but they completely stuffed everything up. I was double
billed for Foxtel, and my phone bills were messed up. As if that wasn't
bad enough, after a month and I still hadn't got the free phone, I rang
them and they said it could take up to THREE months before I would
receive it! Told them I wanted out. They said bad luck mate you're stuck
with us for 24 months. Rang Optus (my previous supplier) and they said
if I hadn't received the free phone, the contract had not been fulfilled
and I could opt out, and they gave me a 'special' number to ring at
Tel$tra. Rang them and they agreed to cancel the contract. The guy
admitted that they had had a lot of complaints. Why am I not surprised.

Only the fools. The style is completely different.
And Mikey has never been stupid enough to run that 'jobs for our kids' line.
