Nothing amazing there. Same of same old...

Anyway, question for anyone here who may own a Samsung A-701 NextG
phone. How does it handle the transfer of contacts to and from the
    Samsung PC Studio software?

My A501 only allows me to back up and restore the phone book. I can't
edit the contacts except for via the phone itself.

The software supports it - you can open the contacts, add, delete and
edit them as required within the software, but only if the phone
supports this feature. Unfortunately, mine doesn't. I was wondering if
the 701 did? And if it does, how does it also go importing
contacts/phone books from other applications such as PDAs, other phones,
    etc.?

What I had to do to get my contacts onto the 501 from my Nokia 2280 was
to back up the Nokia's contacts. Then export them to a file that Outlook
Express could read (I use Eudora for my email, OE was used for this one,
express purpose). I thenk imported it into Outlook, then archived the
phone book in a format that PC Studio could read. I then imported the
archive into the phone itself, and spent ten mins. or so tidying it up.

Well, I thought Professor Bell may be on to something here.

However cheapest call rate, PLUS a huge slug of 27 cents connection fee,
was 18 cents per half minute.

B charge our work account 10 cents for same time, not sure what
connection fee is but nothing like the Tel$tra rip off.
