Really where did you escape from?

I'll explain it again for the less-fast here.. Telstra is NOT a monopoly.
You don't have to use any Telco in this country.

Now do you have any proof of the above or are you just fishing for replies
    to liven-up your life?

By definition, that's a monopoly you ****ing retard. You either pay
Telstra some where along the line, or you go without anything.

Please give me your address so I can come around and stab you in the neck.

    I don't understand this.

I have phone service and internet access, and all I get from Telstra are
    dividend statements.

and your phone service is provided on copper? by whom? do they have their own
cable to your premises, or is it serviced via Telstra cable?

your internet access is broadband? DSLAMs are located in whose exchange?

Do you really think that Telstra provide these facilities to your phone service
provider and ISP free of charge, out of the goodness of their corporate heart?
Sheesh - where do you think Telstra get the $$ to pay you divs?

I'd say it's totally relevant as it proves your argument is wrong.

You can have a full IP and telephony sevrice in Australia without any
involved with Telstra (beyond your telephony provider having an SS7
peering agreement with them) and that scenario was only one of many.

Sure, Telstra is involved with _most_ of them in one way or another, but
they don't have quite all of them.

Good luck doing that outside CBD areas. iBurst coverage is ****ing
hopeless. Optus/Telstra cable doesn't go past about 16 million Australians.

    Your Statement is INCORRECT

Telstra is a MONOPOLY in this country.

No other Telco have access to CDMA in Australia. ONLY Telstra.

GIve me the name of a Telco which does CDMA in Austalia.

    Wrong.

    Technically wrong (and irrelevant)

CDMA *competes* with GSM and 3G stupid. That means there *is* competition
    and NO MONOPOLY.
