Ever wonder why Telstra Mobile send this disclaimer on prepay mobile
phone.
"Charge can take up to 48 hours"
I thought that disclaimer from Telstra Australia meant my account will
be updated before 48 hours.
This is not the case.
If all the Telstra Mobile computer mainframes, databases are perfectly
synchronized it takes only a few seconds to transfer my prepay refill
to a prepay account.
Why does it take so long for Telstra Mobile to synchronize their
computer main frames?
Telstra Australia is not the business of helping customers but of
helping itself and charging a the drop of a hat.
Telstra Marketing Australia forces the "mainframes computer &
software engineers" to do enormous of impossible and useless
programming on their mainframes databases because their "so callled
deals" changes every 5 seconds.
Due to this demand of work, the Telstra Mobile mainframes databases
can not be tested properly because conflicts exist between Telstra
programmers, private subcontractors and Tesltra Mobile management..
The consequence of this , Telstra Mobile Australia is not going to
take me and Australia in 21 Century.
Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck have more chance to take Australia Mobile
network in the 21st century than Telstra Mobile Australia.
This delay of 48 hours to update an account is a full admission from
Telstra Mobile that "patches" between mainframes and databases are not
working and most of the work has to be done manually.
( we are in the computer age)
These "constant unseen problems" give the chance to Telstra Mobile to
overcharge (= steal) me and others without delivering the expected
services
What Telstra Mobile is weaving is a quilt , not a network.
Is the "Telstra Mobile Quilt" going to take me in the 21st century?

Hint: Not everything can be done in real time.

Perhaps ask someone a bit more coherent to type your posting next time.
Anybody with half a clue already knows that Telstra's prepaid systems have
always been an abortion. Telstra is still the only one of the three main
networks that does not allow prepaid international roaming.

Never seen it. What type of payment are you talking about?

Your prepaid balance is NOT stored on a mainframe.

The system is designed to handle all the offers out there

Yeah it is, but that's not what determines whether or not he can make calls.

Like the "call a friend for free" offers where they force you to dial the

Nope. We are talking about products that break the backend systems.

At least they can keep their network on the air.

This is amazing what "brain washing" does to people.
Talk about brain washing, fanaticism and "suicide" bombers here
and "suicide believer" from Telstra.
>>I hear Telstra is a clear market leader in that department.
Telstra is a clear market leader in the "brain washing" department.
Again Telstra clones repeating the "lies " = words from the Telstra
cult.

Perhaps that particular example is related to potential delays in
getting confirmation from your piggy bank that the loot is available?
I've often noticed when doing various phone banking transfers/payments
through my own bank that there seems to be a fairly standard
disclaimer associated with the exercise: "Payments may be delayed
until the next business day." So maybe Telstra is just passing on
that warning in case it happens?
Cheers, Phred.

Aethos and Apollo aren't mainframes

Apollo is a new system Kwyj, where all the new offers are. Aethos is the old
system.
I think you are referring to postpay
