None of them. However, the locals have, from what the guys in the pub were
    saying.

But then, seeing that this is a Usenet post from a guy called "Snapper", you're
probably wise to take what you're reading with a grain of salt.

Given that none of you have raised a fault, you and your mates get what you
    deserve

Telstra likes money. So they put coverage where they are going to make $$$.

And that aint the Simpson desert

Apparently it is. I could never understand why they took the CDMA map down

And conroy hasnt allowed the cdma system to be turned off, you stupid dunny cleaning ****wit child.

And come the new possible shutdown date, the acma will notice that telstra hasnt
been able to fix the problem just by changing handsets and antennas etc and telstra
will be raped with a telephone pole by the govt, yet again, you watch.

Nothing quite beats using your paying customers as beta testers...

Yep, and "equivalent" doesn't necessarily mean "the same".

So, yeah, there may be more city people who couldn't get CDMA but now get
NextG and more country people who could get CDMA but can't get NextG. The
numbers balance, but unfortunately the coverage, where needed and which
    once was, is no longer.

Michael doesn't appreciate that these guys were just dropping in for a
drink on their way through Dargo. I would imagine that it's the last thing
on their minds once they get home, but it would be for the residents who
    lost their CDMA service.

The ACMA didnt ask for the network to be the same

    Rubbish and cockdribble.

Over 400,000 sq km extra with NextG

All ok for your mates to pass through, but the locals of Dargo must be
pretty ****ing stupid if they cant get around to reporting a fault. Morons
get what they deserve, in that case

And piffle and codswallop to you, old chap.

    >Over 400,000 sq km extra with NextG

Doesn't mean that what I said may not be correct - that where there were
areas with decent CDMA coverage are now in NextG blackspots while former
CDMA blackspots now enjoy CDMA coverage.

Thing is, it's irrelevant what the ACMA "wanted" from Telstra with respect
to "equivalent" coverage. It's the message that the consumers are getting
with Telstra promotions. That's what matters, and what also matters is the
real world experiences that consumers are recieving with their new NextG
    services.

Anyway, I'm off on a trip around NE Vic and SE NSW next weekend. I'll see
how NextG coverage is compared to this time last year. Will post my
    findings when I get back.
