Isn't a 5GB allowance at Virgin's rates, in your eyes, "generous"?

    > Also, where do the profits from this venture go?

    Is Virgin Mobile even profitable?

What a sad bitter individual you are.

The benefits go back into the pockets to the Virgin customers who know they
are getting the best Iphone deal in Australia. Less money spent than if they
were on the extorniate data plans that Telstra offer.

And how many apprenticeships are Virgn offering our Aussie kids?
How many charities are helped by them as opposed to the very giving Telstra
    Foundation?
How many rural and remote communities will be served by the Virgin network?

Jack Squat, Sunshine, that's how many.

Since they dont do infrastructure, they dont need to, ****wit.

    > How many charities are helped by them as opposed to the very giving Telstra Foundation?

They choose to charge their customers less instead, ****wit.

    Plenty, ****wit.

    Lying, as always.

In relative terms it seems to be more "generous" than some other providers.

    > Also, where do the profits from this venture go?

Does it really matter? These days you'll be hard pressed to find a wholy
Australian owned company that doesn't have some sort of importing of its
    products.

And who owns all the companies in the energy and resource sectors, these days?

Then there's Qantas, our "flagship carrier". It's foreign owned to a certain
degree, and it's one of the biggest single causes of our current accounts
deficits, particularly when it's lashing out on a heap of new A380s soon...

    Yeah!
    I'm with parkie.
    I don't give a **** that I am being charged exorbitant fees for a
service while I know all those orphans and widows are being looked
    after.
    Yay for Telstra!!

What a wanker. You expect an Australian aerospace industry to pop up
    overnight?

Our foreign acct deficit is due to us importing so much foreign ****.

Yep. Some may still consider them to be stingy. But if you compare them with the
competition, then as a relative term "generous" is probably understating it.

I wonder if we'll ever see "cap" plans for data usage like we have for voice
calls? Or a fixed monthly fee and "all you can eat" for calls, data, MMS/SMS and
    so on.
