I'm going to be based outside of Australia for a few months. I will get a local network SIM, but I also want to have a phone and SIM from one of the Australian service providers, (because I subscribe to some share data SMS services). I know that if I use an Australian prepay SIM in my phone, then I do receive the premium SMS messages ok. The problem is that I cannot top up my prepay balance in the local shop!!
Do any of the Australian service providers offer a facility to top up the prepay balance online, using a credit or debit card? And if so, where can I buy a SIM-only prepay package to put into my local mobile phone?
