    Hi all,
    I am new here and I need a little help!I have a Samsung SPH-a740 and I have not been able to find software that will allow me to backup my phonebook and other phone data. It seems Bell has something for a crazy price but I am sure someone out there can tell me where to download it. By the way Data Pilot software a pile of junk.

    I have successfully connected BitPim to the Samsung A740 in order to access the image and video directory.. I have not posted a tutorial for it at thephonemall.net yet as I do not know what file format the media types are in and am still unable to view them on the PC.

    Thanks for the info. I have tried Data pilot and it does work but bugs out on the address book. I also know that Bell Mobility sells a software that works but I can't seem to find it anywhere and I refuse to pay for software that should be included with the phone.

    Anyone know what file format this image is in?

    Anyone care to take a look at this file to see what file format it is in?
    It is the file extracted from the Bell Mobility Samsung A740 Camera - jpg folder from within BitPim but I am unable to view it on the PC.

    I had to upload it with a .txt extension so that the forum would allow the attachment upload.

    You can pick up the Data To Go software for $39.99 - that'll sync ur phone with Outlook. Dont think it'll do pics for ya.

    to view the pics from bitpim use a program called XNView

    or use a program called datapilot and it will do it automatically
