Can I transfer an unlocked Telus phone to Bell canada

I would like to buy my friends Blackberry Pearl, the problem is that my cell is with Bell mobility canada and the Blackberry is from Telus. I called Bell mobility and asked about hooking up an unlocked cell and she laughed and told me no.Can anyone help me before I maybe waste money on this phone.

Unfortunately, nope, there is no way to get another carrier's phone on Bell's network. Same vice versa.
