My 3 year contract is up for renewal in the next couple of months. I want to renew and get new phone (samsung instinct). However, when I talk to bell they offer me $250 upgrade discount - meaning regular price $479 - 250... I have to pay $229 + taxes to get it. They wont give it to me for $129 as they want me to add fun bundle for +15/month. I already have mobile browser as part of my current plan...thus it makes no sense for me. Is there way I could get this phone for $129? How do I negotiate with them to get it a little cheaper? I am on a corporate plan which is pretty good...so I dont wanna change that (paying $30 all inclusive+taxes). Any ideas appreciated.

Re: Want to get samsung instinct
Wait till you get closer to the end of your contract & talk to the Bell over the phone. The call centre people have more sway to keep customers. I would probably try to get the phone for Free

Re: Want to get samsung instinct
It definitely seems like a good iPhone type cellphone. However, it doesn't work with Hi-Fi, so the internet will always be with the Bell network. Not as fast as the iPhone.

Re: Want to get samsung instinct
This is my cut and paste from another forum on here...
Re: Should I get the INstinct
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NO you shouldn't!!!!
Reason 1: Although advertised as a smartphone 3G, it is not as Bell has crippled the features on it. Look up the 'Instinct-Samsung' forum and navigate to the Canadian Bell forums and just have a read at the topics and you will get a very good idea.
Reason 2: Bell is not supporting the phone. I am a former Instinct owner and long story short I ended up getting Bell to take my phone back and offer to nullify my contract. I have since stayed with Bell and gotten the BB Storm (a true smartphone) but that is a different story.
It should be noted that there is pending legal action against Bell regarding the failure that is the Instinct. If you are looking for a regular phone with media and texting there are plenty of better and MORE STABLE ones available.
Cheers
