hey guys i got a question, i got a phone on a three year contract and ive been through it for about almost 2 years now. The phone is completely broken, so i went to bell yesterday to see if i could upgrade my phone and extend my contract. It turns out that i have to purchase a phone for full price (no contract) and the cheapest one being around 250$. So i was wondering if i were to get a BlackBerry Storm for 700$ no contract, would they just activate it to the plan i have now, or would they extend my years? Also the minimum 20$ Voice and min. 25 $ Data plan for the Storm is optional to me since im not going on a contract with them? Thank you

If you purchased the Storm at full retail price, no contract extension would be required. You would simply get the device attached to your existing number and away you go.

And correct, no plan change would be required. However, with a Blackberry, you need to keep in mind that it will always attempt to access data to "sync" with the network. If you use pay per use data, even if you don't initiate any data sessions, you'll still be piling up the data usage. If you disable data connectivity, then the unit will act weird, as it will always be attempting to make data calls.
