    My daughters phone was cancelled a year ago and we paid the fine..
    They are now sending a bill a year later and saying she did not cancel the phone and guess what we renewed the contract and you owe us for this now.

    We have proven that there was no use on the phone. That the bill was paid including cancellation charges, as they requested, and instead they are claiming we did not call and cancel the contract and it's our word against theirs! They instead took the extra monies we sent and put it against the monthly fee. It was a year ago, she has been on Rogers since. They said, 'why didn't you contact us then if you aren't getting any statements? Huh? Cause we cancelled the contract. "Well we aren't getting anywhere they respond...it is possible that our employee made an error but you still have to pay!!!

    We haven't had a statement in a year, we paid the cancellation fees and didn't complain, and they didn't cancel it, and now they say we should have called to ask why we aren't getting statements????

    They are the worst example of a company I have ever seen. I have had some issues with Rogers, and got through them. These guys on the other hand are the worst I have ever experienced in any situation.

    Log in if you share the same issues. I believe something has to be done here. This could go on forever. You pay them, they say you didn't cancel, reinstate the phone and they tell you that you are forced to pay...That is a racket..They said now they are sending the final billing...lets see if it says in writing that we no longer have a contract. If not. I will have a call and possibly a lawyer on their case. You have no protection. They can do what they want when they want. Claim they never heard from you.... No I don't think so.

    Oh it gets better than that. I tried to have a Bell service installed in my apartment in Toronto and they never showed up and never called. I called and sat around all weekend and nothing. Then months later they start sending me bills and when I refused to pay for something they never installed they put the collection agencies on me.
    Only after I went to the newspapers with my story did they relent and remove the charges. Somebody needs to sue them heavy and make it very public. Errors with them are not the exception but the norm and they are using credit agencies to threaten honest customers.

    Well it's now been 2 weeks and no retrun phone calls or emails or no final bill from Bell.
    I am guessing another bill six months from now stating we did not cancel the phone?
    What is one to do? You request it in writing, you strive to contact them and settle this once and for all and they just ignore your requests..and bill you.
