    Hi everybody,

I am not sure if people have encountered this before.

I had an HTC Touch (I know ancient technology) and recently got the new Atrix (which is pretty cool and it is my first Android phone).

As a result of getting a new phone, I just lost the JustOne service I had before, as it (the service) is "incompatible" with the new phone.

It took me 4 days with multiple calls to Bell Home and Bell Mobility (where one kept transferring me to the other) for Bell Home to finally tell me that the JustOne feature is not available with any of the HSPA phones (which are almost all of the phones that they are selling at the present time).

It was pretty frustrating dealing with Bell, in order to get a simple answer.

.When I had called the first few times, I was told:
    - No problem, it was just an accident
    - That feature does not exist for Bell.
    - It is a combination of voice mail and call forward
    - The feature is not available where you live (never mind that I had that feature for five or six years).

Sorry. I just wanted to vent.

    André

    Same story, yes !

The same thing happened to me last year. Upgraded my phone (for "free", since the contract was completed) to one of the new ones, which was a disaster. It was a Nokia of some kind; the old one an LG-280 Wine which worked absolutely fine until I ran over it with my car, LOL ! and crushed the screen. Not only did the Nokia have horrible ringtones and no possibility of modifying them but its voice command and voice recognition was atrocious. Worst of all was the fact that I had lost the JustOne service and, like you, it took Bell days to diagnose it. No one had even heard of the service at Bell.

Actually, it is extremely useful for business phones, since it automatically forwards calls back and forth between your cell and your home (or office phone) and ensure that if both are busy if inaccessible, the caller will, in the worst case, always get a voice messaging service. Best way to never have to miss a call, we have found, and never have to remember, either, about setting or resetting your landline phone to forward or un-forward calls either. I sincerely wish there was some sort of replacement, or an alternative with equivalent functionality. What happens if you have the service and replace your cell with one that is running on the new network is your land-line phone will forward to the cell with no problem but the cell is not able to forward back.

In the end, Bell took back the crappy Nokia and I had to pay over $ 100 bucks to get the screen replaced on the LG-280. It was worth it though; it has worked absolutely great since then, it is almost a year. The JustOne issue is what has prevented us, and is still preventing us, from upgrading to any of the new networks or "smartphones" etc. etc. Though it seems we are the only people left in the country who are still using it.
