Bell voicemail on samsung discouver

Just checking with all you experts . I got my husband a samsung galaxy discouver phone for christmas . he hates cell phones but he needs one for emergencies . I have been setting up just what he needs . and not setting other things . he is on bell prepaid $100.00 a year I set up his voice mail box cancelled the need for a password (he would forget it) ok good so far .

I called the phone and left a test voice message still good

when I turned on the phone the icon was there for a new voicemail good again

I hit 1 on the key pad to retrieve the message and it wants me to record name and time before checking for message

*** now my question is there a way to have it so it does not ask for name and time ****

long message for simple question but he will not use voice mail if its not straight forward

I'm not understanding why you would have to record a name and time to check a message. Maybe because of not having a password?

I dont know I may need to call bell

Called bell support and it was something I had to delete under security options . I did the step and now i do not need to say name and time when accessing voice mail
