Very difficult. The LED for the trackball is TINY.

But you can change the color of the LED by getting your favorite color Sharpie, and VERY CAREFULLY coloring the LED. I changed mine to green. Also you can put a tiny piece of colored transparent tape over the led.

I know the trackballs are super cheap on ebay, but with a choice between cheap and free, i'll pick free every time lol.
