    I don't mind the trackballs. I turn up my sensitivity; it gets the job done.

    I've never experienced the Trackpads.

    I have a 8530 with the new IR trackpad, pretty sweet IMHO, my brother has the older curve with the trackball, Every now and then he has to take his ball out and clean the area when it starts to act up, I haven't had any issues with my trackpad though.
