Blackberry Storm backlight

I have read many articles about the blackberry storm backlight, and no, I don't have the same problem. When I'm not on the phone, there are no problems... My problem is that when I'm on the phone with someone, my backlight dims properly, but turns on about every minute... It dims properly after this, then does it all over again... I know that I'm not pushing it against my face, or clicking it, because I've tested these things many times. If ANYONE knows anything, maybe it's a setting that isn't correct? PLEASE help me, it's SO ANNOYING!! Thank you for your time!

Is the screen locked when this happens? What version of BlackBerry OS are you using? I know that in 4.7 up they fixed a bug with the screen coming back on every time it was depressed despite the screen being locked.

Make sure there are no open applications running in the backround that may be updating and thus causing the backlight to come on.
