As parents are we too plugged-in, has human communication taken a back seat to devices/gadgets. Will the human connection be getting any better in the futures... i don't think so.

There is little research on how parents’ constant use of such technology affects children, but experts say there is no question that engaged parenting — talking and explaining things to children, and responding ...

I can't remember the last time i looked in a phone book for information... yes the INTERNET took over.

  5. Are You Annoyed By Public Cell Phone Conversations

    , 05-21-2010 at 05:22 AM
A study shows... that overhearing a cell phone conversation affects the attention we use in our daily tasks, including driving

These results suggest that a driver's attention can be impaired by a passenger's cell phone conversation," according to the study.

Since halfalogues really are more distracting and you can't tune them out, this could explain why people are irritated

We have less control to move away our attention from half a conversation ...
