I am struggling to come up to speed on using my new cell phone and wondered if there were some resouses out there for Newbies like myself. (even Wikipedia doesn't answer my questions).

My provider sevice is very basic and I do not have access to the internet using my Samsung SGH X630. My computer is connected to the internet via DSL.
I finally figured out how to transfer my pix and vids from my phone to my computer (AND convert the vids to .avi - which took some research!) However, I have not yet figured out how to send stuff from my PC to my phone. My bluetooth is Blue Soleil which seems to be a European brand. When I search for services I get only File Transfer, Object Push, Serial Port and Dial-up Networking service. I have no idea what Object Push is and when I would use the Serial Port service.

Do I need internet access to do send ringtones or music to my cell? (my pc modem is inactive so I can't use that dial-up connection)

As you can see I need some basics in the use of Bluetooth. Any help would be much appreciated.

You just use OBEX File Transfer. In that folder, you should see the following folders: Audio, Picture, and Video (provided your phone can capture video.) Simply drag and drop or copy/paste files into the appropriate folder (pics into Picture, ringtones into Audio, etc...) Hope that helps.
