Re: Bluetooth Cell Phone Use in Cars on the Rise

Though it definitely adds more risk to driving, some (minimal) in-car cell phone use is almost becoming un-avoidable. If it must be done, calls should be kept to a minimum, and having a headset/speaker and phone holder is becoming a must too these days. You need to be able to quickly see and either take or ignore an incoming call w/o taking one hand off the wheel to look for the phone in your cupholder. Some things like these ::PDA CART:: can help and are worth every dime if they add convenience and minimize risk. If you car already comes with Bluetooth, definitely look up 'pairing' or connecting instructions for your phone - it only takes 5 mins max.

Re: Bluetooth Cell Phone Use in Cars on the Rise

I have the in car system. It's fine as long as the windows are up! With the windows down, folks on the other end have trouble hearing. I use it for short trips and errands, but still use the headset for longer trips and times with the windows down.

A plus positive with the headset is I can send and receive text messages as well!!
