I bough a new blue tooth ear pice & when I used it, it my phone went dead in about 15 minits, they really did not have direction worth a ****, I dialed my phone by just useing the phone, did this cause the battery to go dead, do you have to use the ear pice to dial? how do they work? I guess I am really dumb!

Please don't call your self dumb.
The dialing method should not affect the phone battery.
If the device keeps disco, due to weak signal, then tries to reco, and constantly seeking for signal...
That will drain the batttery.
Keep both units on the same side of the body, fairly close to another.
Some BT will not stay connected to some phones;
