Also known as Dial-up Networking (DUN).
You will need a Bluetooth Dongle or adapter for your PC and this software:
    http://www.4shared.com/account/file/...b/BT_Help.html
Download and unzip with Winzip or WinRAR.
Open & Read the patch/xxx.nfo with notepad first!!!
Follow the instructions carefully, or this will not work.
Software CD that comes with the dongle will not tether. So you need this softwae to enable all BT functions

Tether phone to laptop or PC
Plug in Bluetooth Dongle to PC
    Turn on phone's Bluetooth

    Open Bluesoeil icon on PC
Put phone and PC in discovery mode
Pair phone to PC (enter 000000 on both units)
    Right click PC Bluesoeil properties
2x click on dial up modem
On pop up screen, don't change anything hit dial.
(MY Laptop will show green BT icon and PC icon. My phone shows a PC icon.) others may vary

You must have unlimited data plan or your bill will skyrocket!!!
Send me a PM for further questions

Hi, camstuf. I noticed that your carrier is Sprint. I'm with Verizon; my family & I are on their NW plan (1400 min/mo). I do understand that VZW won't let me use my cellphone as a modem for free (I have tethered it successfully, but didn't stay on very long, and made sure it was disconnected when I was done). It appears that, based on what you said in the above quote, I would have to change my plan with VZW if I wanted to use my phone as a modem without incurring a huge bill (based on data downloads and uploads, not on minutes used). I'm not sure that VZW even offers an unlimited data plan. Unless I missed it on their website, the most they offer is 5 GB/mo, and $0.25/MB after that.

See what had happened was... Sometime last year or so, all the carriers that offered Unlimired data decided to put a cap on their plan. Even though my plan shows Unlimited data, I too have a cap on Sprint. (Read the fine print)...
dont know what it is, and have never gone over. Cest la vie
BTW, I tether quite a bit when I am out of town, and my bill has not changed in over two years.
